  • Womanly Mysteries of the Rosary (792 KB pdf)
Highlighting women in scripture, Sisters Sally Harper and Sean Peters created three sets of Womanly Mysteries of the Rosary: “The Faithful Followers Mysteries,” “The Encounters with Jesus Mysteries” and “The Healing Mysteries.”
Also available in Spanish (740 KB)
  • Womanly Novena
Accompanying the global church’s Synod on Synodality, Sisters Sally and Sean wrote a nine-month Womanly Novena for a more inclusive church. Care for God’s Creation

Responding to the Earth

Prayer Journals

  • Season of Creation 2022 Prayer Journal (635 KB)
We offer this prayer journal to help you reflect on the actions you take that are impacting our planet for the better or the worse and consider the ways we can act together to reduce our carbon footprint and to advocate for systemic change.
Also available in Spanish (533 KB) and Japanese (971 KB)
  • Season of Creation 2021 Prayer Journal (1.8 MB)
During the Season of Creation, it is helpful to assess where we are in our personal journey of ecological conversion. In Pope Francis’ message “Show Mercy to our Common Home,” he reminds us that one of the first steps toward integrating love and care for creation as part of our Christian faith is conducting an examination of conscience.
Also available in Spanish (1.4 MB) and Japanese (1.5 MB)

About us

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet are a congregation of Catholic sisters. We, and those who share our charism and mission, are motivated in all things by our profound love of God and our dear neighbors. We seek to build communities and bridge divides between people. Since our first sisters gathered in 1650, our members have been called to “do all things of which women are capable.” The first sisters of our congregation arrived in St. Louis, Missouri in 1836, and we now have additional locations in St. Paul, Albany, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Japan and Peru. Today, we commit to respond boldly to injustice and dare to be prophetic.
