Sister Mary Vincent died Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Carondelet Village in St. Paul with friends and family at her side.

Sister Mary was born on May 1, 1948 to Bernice Lurquin and Edward Vincent in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

She earned a bachelor of arts in sociology from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin; a master of arts in theology from United Theological Seminary in New Brighton, Minnesota; and a master of science in vocational rehab from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin.

Sister Mary professed final vows with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet on March 4, 1990.

She worked as a career counselor at St. Thomas College in St. Paul and as an academic counselor at Derham Hall/Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul. She worked at St. Joseph House and the St. Joseph Hope Community in Minneapolis.

A celebration of Sister Mary’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Presentation Chapel at St. Joseph Provincial House in St. Paul. The celebration will be livestreamed on the St. Paul Province YouTube channel.
