Linger Over Breakfast: Healing the Universe One Plant at a Time

Our Next Steps with Amy Hereford, CSJ

Want to enjoy beautiful butterflies, delicious vegetables, fabulous flowers all in your backyard…and help enhance sustainability in our lives as well? Join us as Amy Hereford, CSJ shares earth saving tips about gardening, composting, seed-saving, home energy audits and beekeeping. Through our shared care for our common home, we can enhance all of our lives—one plant at a time. Friends from area gardening collectives will also be on hand to help with your next steps in growing green.

Join your neighbors for an enriching morning that will nourish your mind, body and spirit. Through our shared participation, we’ll build community among us, bringing hope and healing for a divided world, and expanding our belief that all is sacred and connected.

Welcome to our gardening groups joining us at Linger Over Breakfast!

Event will be held in-person only at St. Teresa’s Academy from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. The cost to attend is $20, which will include breakfast. Register online by April 15.

About us

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet are a congregation of Catholic sisters. We, and those who share our charism and mission, are motivated in all things by our profound love of God and our dear neighbors. We seek to build communities and bridge divides between people. Since our first sisters gathered in 1650, our members have been called to “do all things of which women are capable.” The first sisters of our congregation arrived in St. Louis, Missouri in 1836, and we now have additional locations in St. Paul, Albany, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Japan and Peru. Today, we commit to respond boldly to injustice and dare to be prophetic.
