Being Present and Shrimp Fettuccini
On March 13th, Sister Marilyn Lott, CSJ spoke with Fuel the Body, Fuel the Soul participants about living in the present. Sister Suzanne Giro, CSJ provided her recipe for homemade shrimp fettuccini.
Fuel the Body, Fuel the Soul is a virtual program that provides a forum for women around the country to deepen their faith life. The program gives women the opportunity to engage with our sisters and other women in spiritual presentations, discussions and prayer. Each gathering also features a nutritious recipe from one of our sisters.

During our Fuel the Body, Fuel the Soul meeting on February 13th, Sister Lisa Lazio, CSJ spoke with participants about the power of intentionality. For fueling the body, Sister Renee Adamany provided her recipe for homemade hummus.
During our Fuel the Body, Fuel the Soul meeting on December 12th, Sister Sandy Schmid, CSJ showed participants her mother’s recipe for homemade risotto. Following the recipe, Sister Mary Ann Figlino, CSJ gave a presentation entitled, “Your Call is Important: Is Jesus on Hold?”
During the October Fuel the Body, Fuel the Soul meeting, Sister Rosario Bobadilla, CSJ showed participants her recipe for Tinga tostadas. Following the recipe, Sister Barbara Moore, CSJ gave a presentation entitled, “Blessed are those who act justly.”
During the June Fuel the Body, Fuel the Soul meeting, Sister Florence Anyabuonwu showed participants her recipe for jollof rice. Following the recipe, Sister Melinda Pellerin gave a presentation entitled, “A Woman Preaches the Good News.”
When the Fuel the Body, Fuel the Soul program met on May 9th, Sister Nancy Marsh showed participants her recipe for soda can chicken. Following the recipe, Sister Mary McKay gave a presentation entitled, “The Living Tradition.”
During the Fuel the Body, Fuel the Soul meeting on April 11th, Sister Rosemary Casaleno showed participants her recipe for healthier eggplant parmesan. Following the recipe, Sister Philonise Keithley gave a presentation entitled, “Jesus, Women and the Call to Radical Love.”
During the Fuel the Body, Fuel the Soul meeting on March 14th, Sister Anne McMullen demonstrated various ways to cook spaghetti squash. Following the recipe, Sister Judy Molosky gave a presentation entitled, “Finding God in the Garden.”
When Fuel the Body, Fuel the Soul met in February, Sister Rosario Bobadilla showed participants her recipe for homemade tuna tostadas. Following the recipe, Sister Lynn Levo gave a presentation entitled, “Choosing Hope, Not Despair.”
When Fuel the Body, Fuel the Soul met on December 14, Sister Monica Kleffner showed participants her recipe for Oatmeal Pancakes. Following the recipe, Sister Sally Harper gave a presentation entitled, “Jesus, the Host with the Most.”
The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet are a congregation of Catholic sisters. We, and those who share our charism and mission, are motivated in all things by our profound love of God and our dear neighbors. We seek to build communities and bridge divides between people. Since our first sisters gathered in 1650, our members have been called to “do all things of which women are capable.” The first sisters of our congregation arrived in St. Louis, Missouri in 1836, and we now have additional locations in St. Paul, Albany, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Japan and Peru. Today, we commit to respond boldly to injustice and dare to be prophetic.
