On May 17, Sister Linda Neil, CSJ, received the Rev. Robert Lamar Humanitarian Award from the Interfaith Alliance of New York State at an awards dinner at The Albany Country Club. The award honors a person whose accomplishments promote human rights, combat bigotry and prejudice and secure justice, mercy and fair treatment of all persons. Sister Linda was recognized for her years in education, especially Holocaust Educator for which she received the Anne Frank Award for an Outstanding Educator. In addition, Sister Linda was recognized for her ministry in eco-spirituality and for her service as co-director of St. Joseph’s Place, a place of hospitality for residents of Hamilton Hill in Schenectady.
